NEW POOL HEATER TO BE INSTALLED IN APRIL, 2018!

Our pool is 8 lanes by 25 yards.  It is 8 feet deep at the diving end and 3.5 feet deep at the shallow end.  For younger children, there is also a 15′ x 20′ stair section which is 3 feet deep.  The pool is heated!

The pool is open to members from about Memorial Day to the middle of September.

The pool also closes at 4:15pm for home swim meets which will be posted on the swim team calendar.  Swim team will also reserve the pool for Family Fun Night and the Awards Banquet in August.  There are always 2 lanes available for adult lap swimming as well as a 15 minute adults only swim every hour.

Policies

  1. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
  2. Be respectful of the club and others around you – please pick up after yourself.
  3. No horseplay in or around the pool (pushing, running, flips, chicken, dunking).
  4. Use equipment appropriately (lane lines, lawn chairs, games, showers, play area).
  5. Diving from the deep end of the pool only; use of diving blocks is strictly prohibited.
  6. Except for Coast Guard certified personal flotation devices, use of water wings/swimmies/floaties is prohibited.
  7. Appropriate swimwear is required.
  8. Children who are not potty-trained must wear a swim diaper.
  9. In the event of lightning or thunder, the pool and deck must be cleared for 30 minutes.

 

These rules are set forth for your safety. Please follow them, or you may be asked to leave the pool area.  The lifeguard’s interpretation of the rules is final.

 


Swim Lessons

 

GROUP LESSONS: 

*Group lessons run Monday-Thursday each week with the exception of the first week where we will begin on Tuesday, July 5th and end on Friday, July 8th.  

Session #1:   Tuesday, July 5th – Thursday, July 14th 

Session #2:   Monday, July 18th – Thursday, July 28th

Levels & Times:

Level 3 (11-11:30am):  Instructors focus on freestyle stroke development including head, arm, and body alignment, breathing techniques, and building endurance and confidence in the water.

Level 4 (11:30am-12:00pm):  Instructors focus on multiple stroke development: building on freestyle, the basics of backstroke and breaststroke, and kneeling/standing dive entry from the side of the pool.

Pricing:

BTC Members:  $120 per child/session

Non-members:  $180 per child/session

*Payment is due in full the Friday before the first lesson of each session.  Payment can be made in person at the clubhouse main office or by mail.

PRIVATE/SEMI-PRIVATE LESSONS:

Private (1 child) & Semi-Private (2 children) Lessons with our instructors can be scheduled in the afternoon hours (after 12pm) Monday – Friday.  Evening and weekend lessons can also be accommodated depending on swim team practice/competition schedules and instructor flexibility.

Pricing:

BTC Members:  $100 per child (4 lessons)

Non-members:  $120 per child (4 lessons)

*Payment is due in full upon the first lesson.  Payment can be made in person at the clubhouse main office or by mail.

Level descriptions to include for reference:

Level 1:  Instructors help children to feel comfortable in the water and gain basic skills such as floating, gliding, blowing bubbles, kicking on front / back with assistance.

Level 2:  Instructors focus on children becoming independent in the water: including treading water, floating, gliding and swimming on front and back, and bobbing head underwater.

Level 3:  Instructors focus on freestyle stroke development including head, arm, and body alignment, breathing techniques, and building endurance and confidence in the water.

Level 4:  Instructors focus on multiple stroke development; building on freestyle, basics of backstroke and breaststroke, kneeling/standing dive entry from side of pool.

Masters Swimming

Mon, Wed, Fri 5:30-7:00am.
May 30th – Sept 11th (pool access permitting)
Members: Free
Non-Members: $90

Masters swimming is a great way for former competitive swimmers, triathletes, and adults new to the sport to stay in shape and improve their technique. Practices are challenging and include all four strokes, kicking and pull sets. This program is open to any adult who loves swimming.

To register, complete the form below or download the following form and waiver and return a copy to BTC (instructions on form). If you chose the paper registration form, you can either pay by check or by credit card from the Pay My Bill page on this website.  No refunds.

You must fill out the registration for and sign the waiver before entering the pool.
